  • Billy Idol, born November 30th 1955, is an English post punk / hard rock musician and songwriter. He first achieved fame as a member of the punk rock band Generation X (4). Later he embarked on a successful solo career and after releasing his second studio album %22[m=29809]%22, became an international superstar. His music videos were constantly played on the then brand-new television network MTV.

  • William Michael Albert Broad (born 30 November 1955), known professionally by his stage name Billy Idol, is an English rock musician, songwriter and actor. Born in Stanmore, Middlesex, Idol first achieved fame in the punk rock era as a member of the band Generation X. Idol then embarked on a successful solo career, and was a member of the MTV-driven %22Second British Invasion%22 of the United States. A series of music videos for songs such as %22Dancing With Myself%22, %22White Wedding%22, %22Rebel Yell%22 and %22Eyes Without a Face%22 made him one of the first MTV stars. Idol continues to tour with guitarist Steve Stevens.
