Sir Robert ("Robin") John Maxwell-Hyslop (6 June 1931 – 13 January 2010) was a British Conservative Party politician. The younger son of Royal Navy Captain Alexander Henry Maxwell-Hyslop (who adopted the additional name of Maxwell in 1925), AM, who served aboard HMS Devonshire and was recognised for his bravery in averting its loss by explosion in 1929, and was subsequently Captain of HMS Cumberland, and his wife Cecilia Joan (née Bayly), Maxwell-Hyslop was educated at Stowe School and Christ Church, Oxford. He worked for the aero engine division of Rolls-Royce from 1954 to 1960.
