Rod Tyler is the former vocalist of American progressive metal band Symphony X and power metal band Overlorde. He joined Overlorde briefly in 1988 under his real name, Rod Tyler Loiza, and left shortly in the same year. In 1994 he was recruited by [a333536] as the first vocalist for [a291495]. Tyler recorded vocals on the band's debut album [r=4999529] (1994). For Symphony X's second album [r=1178307] (1995), Tyler has been replaced by [a333490], whom he himself introduced to the band as his replacement. Allen has remained the band's singer ever since.
