The song was released on July 18, 1995 via Reprise Records, as the first single from their debut album Short Bus.The song is noted for its similarities to the title track from the band Stabbing Westward's 1993 album Ungod. That song was co-written by Stuart Zechman, who was also playing with Filter at the time.
