  • A cappella group formed in 1986 in New York City, and has had a rotating lineup of members ever since. After performing on street corners for the first several years of their existence, the group struck it big after landing a gig on the TV show Spike Lee & Co.: Do It A Cappella. They were soon signed into a contract with PBS to perform on the children's TV show %22Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?%22 They are most well known for performing the title theme to that show.Members have included (through 2012): Charles Scott Leonard, Steve Keyes, Sean Altman, Kevin Wright (3), Barry Carl, Jeffrey Thacher, Elliot Kerman, Steven Dorian, John K. Brown, David Stix, Charlie Evett, and George Baldi III.

  • Rockapella is an American a cappella musical group formed in 1986 in New York City. Their name is a portmanteau of %22rock%22 and %22a cappella%22. Rockapella sings original vocal music and a cappella covers of pop and rock songs; over time, their sound has evolved from high-energy pop and world music toward a more R&B-style sound. Rockapella originally found their biggest success in Japan, while in North America, they are best remembered for their role on the hit PBS Kids geography game show Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? as a vocal house band and resident comedy troupe, as well as the singers of the show's main theme song. Rockapella has released 19 albums, both in North America and overseas, and 3 compilation albums in Japan.
