  • Andrea True (born July 26, 1943 Nashville TN, died November 7, 2011 Kingston NY) was a US-American adult film star and singer from the disco era. In addition to her given name, she had multiple stage names, including Inger Kissin, Andrea Travis, Catherine Warren, Singh Low, and Singe Low.As a young girl Andrea often dreamed of being an actress. During the late 1960's True relocated to New York City to pursue a career in acting. Her boyfriend at the time Harry Reems introduced her to adult films. Beginning in 1970 with %22Dance Of Love%22 Andrea had found her niche. Between 1970 and 1975 she had established herself as a star in the adult entertainment business. Producer Gregg Diamond wrote and she sang %22More, More, More%22. With the unexpected success of the song True and Diamond scrambled to put together an album. He wrote four new songs that they recorded in New York. The release of the album, %22More, More, More%22 saw Andrea dominate the club charts for the entire summer with %22Party Line,%22 %22Call Me,%22 and %22Fill Me Up (Heart To Heart).%22 During 1976 Andrea continued her film career at a decidedly higher pay scale. By 1977 True put her film career on hold to concentrate on touring and recording her second album. Gregg Diamond began the project by writing and producing her second 12%22 single %22N.Y. You Got Me Dancing%22. This was yet another club smash, but only reached number twenty seven on the Top Forty chart. One more club hit followed with %22What's Your Name, What's Your Number,%22 released on a commercial 12%22 single. This track failed to crack the Top Forty and her contract with Buddah Records was cancelled. By 1978 Andrea was back in adult films churning out two for the year. In 1980 she released her final album %22War Machine%22 as a solo artist for the Italian Ricordi International label, performing rock and new wave.
