| - Originally A Cor do Som was the name of the instrumental band that accompanied Os Novos Baianos.A Cor do Som is a Brazilian group that was created from the entourage of musicians accompanying Moraes Moreira after leaving Os Novos Baianos.A Cor do Som was founded in 1977, experimenting with new patterns of sound, drawing upon the previous experiences of Os Novos Baianos, Moraes Moreira and Pepeu Gomes, and a post-Tropicalia movement. In his first album %22A Cor do Som%22 (WEA 1977), had as members Dadi (bass), Mú Carvalho (composition and keyboards), Armandinho (composition and Bahia guitar) and Gustavo Schroeter (drums). From the second album %22Live In Montreux,%22 Ary Dias, percussion, becomes part of the band.Blending rock, regional rhythms and classical music, adopted the name %22A Cor do Som%22 at the suggestion of Caetano Veloso, and then in its first year, were invited to the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, becoming the first musical group Brazil to attend the event - it is worth noting that the Montreux show yielded a live album.
