| - Alternative Rock/Indie band formed in 1990 in Patra, Greece.They started playing as %22Rest In Peace%22 and in 1992 they changed their name to %22Raining Pleasure%22. They recorded their first demo in 1994 (including 16 songs) and released their first album %22Memory Comes Back%22 in 1996. Their second album, %22Nostalgia%22, was released in late 1998. In Spring 2001, Raining Pleasure were linked with EMI. The band recorded and released the EP %22Capricorn%22.In December 2001, %22Flood%22 was released. The album spawned three massive airplay hits in Greece, the biggest of which %22Fake%22 has become a pop and rock radio staple, after successfully being used in TV spots for Greece's leading telecommunications company. In 2002 %22Rock N Roll%22 Magazine readers' poll, the group was voted as the %22Best Greek Rock act of all time%22. Raining Pleasure have share festival stages with The Cure, The Pixies, The Dandy Warhols and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club among others and having sold out theatres all over the Greece. In 2004, the album %22Forwards & Backwards%22 is introduced by the double A-side single %22World'/'Identical Twins%22. On %22Identical Twins%22, esteemed vocalist Elly Paspala contributes a vocal track. Both songs became airplay hits. In March of the same year, the band's cover of ABBA's %22Dancing Queen%22 featured in the successful Greek film %22Hardcore%22. In September, the group scores another hit with the song %22Love Me, Love Me, Love Me%22. Its video clip (directed by Marina Gioti) won the %22Best animation video clip award%22 at the Animation Block Party Awards 2005 in New York. In Winter 2004, the band embarks on its first tour in Germany and enters the studio to record a new version of the classic album by Manos Hadjidakis and the New York Rock N Roll Ensemble, %22Reflections%22. | - Raining Pleasure is an indie/rock band originating from Patras, Greece, often credited with spearheading the newest wave of Greek bands with English lyrics. The band was formed in September 1990 under the name %22Rest in Peace%22. A year after their formation the band started appearing live locally. In 1992, they changed their name to Raining Pleasure and started touring Greece. In 1994, the band self-recorded and released a demo of their work (limited to 160 copies); since then, most of its songs have been rerecorded and included in their studio albums. For two more years, the band continued touring Greece and, in 1996, had three of its songs released through Pop & Rock 's magazine compilation Dytiki Akti '96.
